 KENISIA Prototype Format : CD Catalogue # : HAUS081 Release Date : 20th March 2006 PROTOTYPE is the third album from Bristol's KENISIA and it sees the band breathing new life into the UK punk ska hybrid by creating an uplifting soul infused punk rock record that will propel KENISIA to a new area of their own. Original lead singer Alan Cains departed in late 2003, and James Lambeth, the band's American trumpet player took over vocal duties. With an exceptionally strong voice James added another dimension to the band. Shortly after this, KENISIA recorded a BBC Radio 1 Session for "The Lock up" show at the legendary Maida Vale studios. With several U.K tours now under their belt KENISIA went into the studio again in 2005, to work on new material. New vocalist James Lambeth's sweet, soaring falsetto blends effortlessly with JA infused rock that takes in as much of SUBLIME as it does LIVING COLOUR or the soul/reggae moments of BAD BRAINS' vocalist HR making this a uniquely upbeat and colourful UK release in this time of pale and plastic teen emo-pop.
