THE PEACOCKS
It's Time for the....
Format : CD | LP
Catalogue # : HAUS067
UK Release Date : April 2004
THE PEACOCKS from Zurich, Switzerland play rocking punk rock with a double bass, influenced by psychobilly, ska and pop - never too hard, always fast, incredibly powerful and explosive. The band has a special flair for catchy pop melodies, which are played with a punk energy. Think Rev. Horton Heat meets Rocket From The Crypt, meets the Living End!
THE PEACOCKS first album "Come With Us" hit the distros in 1995 and the band embarked on their first tour of Canada and the USA. The second album "In Without Knockin" was released in 1998, and it was followed by the band playing more than 300 shows in Europe, Canada, USA and even Japan. After this THE PEACOCKS hooked up with legendary American punk label Asian Man Records, who released the bands third album "Angel" which was an underground hit - the single "Anger And Demand" even becoming a big hit in Japan.
During 2003 THE PEACOCKS continued touring while writing for their new album. They then went to the USA and recorded their new album with Mass Giorgini (from Squirtgun / Screeching Weasel, worked with The Queers, Teen Idols, Green Day) at Sonic Iguana Studios.
