 FIG 4.0 / ENSIGN split 7" Format : 7" vinyl Catalogue # : HAUS061 Release Date : November 2003 Two of the best of the recent crop of underground hardcore punk bands from the UK and USA pair up for a limited vinyl release. Formed in 1995 amidst the burgeoning New Jersey hardcore scene, ENSIGN has emerged as one of the area's most prominent and hardworking bands, releasing material on Nitro Records, Indecision Records, and Reflections. ENSIGN have toured extensively in the USA, UK and Europe, alongside bands like AFI, Sick Of It All, Good Riddance and Death By Stereo. This is their first release on a UK label. FIG.4.0 have existed since Summer/Autumn 1999, when all the members were regulars at Leeds punk and hardcore gigs. The band released one of the UK's hardcore albums of the year "Action Image Exchange" in 2002 on Bombed Out Records and FIG.4.0 have become one of the UKs leading underground hardcore bands, playing many D.I.Y. festivals and gaining a cult following, with this 7" being one of a series of 3 split 7"s they inteded to have released in 2003. |
