"NOT WAVING BUT DROWNING, sounding like a bus crash between Zao and the Refused, pioneered a new crossover indie rawk metal genre on several U.S. tours with bands like Zao, Snapcase, Open Hand, Haste, and even Papa Roach." Dark Front Records
It all started in the Spring of 1998. Justin and Robert piecing together a line-up that concentrated on writing songs and playing shows for about a year straight.
They accomplished a lot in this amount of time, played almost every club in the St. Louis area as well as opening up for Unsane, Avail, Pro-Pain, Skinlab, Zao, Earth Crisis, Hatebreed, Papa Roach, Shutdown, Turmoil, Get Up Kids, Jimmy Eat World, and many others.
They made a name for ourselves with our energetic and unpredictable live shows.
The band write music in the fast, aggressive, and chaotic manner with an abrasive melody here and there.
"Very individual stuff on this 8 track (not including Rock Anthem - I trust that this is a kind of joke) Household Name release. To be honest I preferred the track on Fuck Off HHN which was more straightforward metal rather than emo but it's nice too see a band coming up with stuff this diverse. Vocals seem to either be kind of spoken or very harsh (my friend mentioned Cradle of Filth but I was thinking more Vision of Disorder) but I kept finding myself getting into the instruments (rather than the vocals) first which is a testament to how original this band are. Stand-out track Covering ground is bound to open people's minds up in a similar way to Hard to Swallow."
